The images follow a cinematic theme, illustrated as ‘Life. Still. Dreams’, and is a reflection of life experiences. The sequencing of the images is to evoke an emotional journey and highlight the vibrancy, yet stillness of life.

Helping movement disorder charities through donation of photographic work.

All proceeds from the 'Life Still Dreams' book will be equally donated to our charities.

The Berlin Wall was constructed to create a barrier between East and West Berlin. It was commenced on 13th August, 1961 and ideologically the wall divided Berlin until 1989. The wall included guarded towers, which aimed to separate citizens in East Berlin, from entering or leaving West Berlin. As a consequence, millions of families were spilt, and many losing their jobs and unemployment on the rise (read more here). 

By taking a holistic view, ‘Silence the Shadows’, is the exploration of the power shadows can have in presenting an object and, setting the tone of this particular photographic work. As the title entails, this book dwells into a dark and gloomy perception of post modernism, and foreshadows the inspiration for the ensemble of these photographs. Therefore, in order to retain this element of mystery, keen viewers will notice the gradual use of shadows, hiding the subject from sight. Doing so, the overall sequence can be viewed as a deliberate intention to mask any sources of light and, draw attention to the more sinister shift in visual documentation. (read more here)

‘Life in Life’ focuses on capturing the unique and imperfect moments of contemporary life. This particular photographic expression provokes  an intimate tone in documentary photography, as it provides a brief glimpse into an individual’s life. (view more here)

This book explores a glimpse insight into scenic British beaches, from Littlehampton to Southend on Sea. In particular, Littlehampton is known for its calm environment, and lack of exposure to man-made amusement parks. The sequencing of the photos show a gradual drift in people turning towards fun fairs, arcades and piers as a source of entertainment, leaving the viewer to question their dependency on these man-made structures in providing enjoyment. These photographs were initially exhibited by the BBC in 2010, under the theme ‘Shadows and Lines’. This led to further exploration of this initial body of work, and became the springboard for this book. Overall, ‘ Shadows Shapes Spaces’ is an initial photographic illustration of how shadows interfere with spaces, with this focus being further developed in the sequel book ‘Silence the Shadows’. Several of the photos highlight how SHADOWS create geometric SHAPES, especially in empty SPACES. (view slides here)  

Dancing with light is a showcase of the impact light sources has on the portrayal of a subject. The initial photographs are captured in predominately shadowed areas, with the eye being drawn to the contrasting and harsh silhouettes. This collection of photos were taken in several Mediterranean locations such as Venice, Lisbon, Barcelona and Athens. (read more here).
