The Polar Dress Is an experimental concept by which patterns are created on the fabric of a material using repetitive photographic images of a subject. The subject been in this case (countryside hedge borders) was captured using a Polaroid film camera. The taken image was then repeated several times to create a patterned effect which was then printed on silk fabric material. To show case the printed fabric, the Halter-Neck dress design was used, which is a type of dress that has a neck strap with an exposed back.
